An exhibition is being staged to celebrate the 30th anniversary of a group of printmakers in Colchester.

The dozen-strong 12PM group was founded at the Minories, in the High Street, in 1984 and the exhibition, which starts on Saturday brings together members past and present.

A programme of residencies, workshops, demonstrations and discussions is planned.

12PM was formed from a group of professional artists working in and around Colchester, with the help of then Minories curator Jeremy Theopilus.

The group aims to increase awareness of printmaking – the use of techniques including etching, lithography and wood engraving – as an art form.

The exhbition will run at the Minories until November 1, with talks and demonstrations every Saturday at 2pm during its run.

The gallery is open between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
