ORGANISERS behind this month's Secret Vintage Fair have finally revealed where it will be held.
Colchester Castle, Europe’s oldest Norman keep, will play host to a vintage fashion show, a pop-up tea parlour and dozens of vintage stalls on Saturday March 30.
Lucy Craymer, founder of the Secret Vintage Fair, which is being supported by the Gazette, said after months of secrecy she was relieved to finally be able to say where it is being held.
Stallholders will take over the Castle, including the prison cells, to sell retro and vintage crafts.
Craft workshops will show shoppers how to do their own vintage hair and make up, live music will be pumped out by a vintage DJ and family activities for kids.
Musical duo the Curious World of the Grymoire, Mark Shillaker and Adam Scott, will be performing at the fair and have even created a video promoting the event.
A tea parlour, which will also be set up at the Minories Art Gallery on Saturday, March 16 as a one off, will sell specialist cakes and drinks.
Janine Rudkins, a partner in the Secret Vintage Fair team, said: “I have lived in Colchester all my life, and when the opportunity came to host the fair in such an iconic Colchester landmark, I felt we couldn’t possibly let the opportunity pass us by."
The fair takes place between 10.30am and 4.30pm. Entrance costs £3 and accompanied children under 10 get in free. To find out more go to secretvintagefair.com
