Residents could pay for own GP surgery

RESIDENTS could pay for their own medical centre to bring a long-awaited scheme to fruition.

A bid to build a GP surgery in Wivenhoe has suffered a series of set-backs in the last ten years, most recently a funding shortfall.

Why don't the doctors pay for it themselves? GPs have plenty of money, and could very easily raise whatever mortgage is needed.
