5:34pm Friday 25th May 2012

A CLACTON man has been jailed for raping two women in Colchester.

Darren Skinner of Weymouth Close in Clacton was given a five-and-a-half year prison sentence after appearing at Chelmsford Crown Court today.

He was also charged with one count of assault and one count of theft.

Skinner, 26, admitted attacks on a 31 year-old woman in April 2011 and a 51 year-old woman in October.

Senior Investigating Officer, DI Terry Balding, said: "It is testament to the evidence of both victims that forced Darren Skinner into pleading guilty.

“He will serve, at the very least, a full five-and-a-half years before he can be considered for any form of release.”
