A CARE home worker from Clacton has picked up a national award.

Ann Horrocks, who works at Edensor in Orwell Road, was named senior carer of the year by the Elder Homes Group.

A spokesman said: “Ann has worked at Edensor for 19 years with true spirit and compassion for the job. Her attention to detail and coaching of other staff is second to none and a real example and credit to the company.”
