A TAXI driver has admitted causing death by careless driving after hitting a pensioner in Clacton last year.
Pedestrian Doris Cornwall, 68, was struck by a Mercedes Vito on Station Road on June 24.
She was airlifted to Romford’s Queens Hospital, but died from her injuries the following morning.
Laurie Buer, 47, today admitted causing death by careless driving at Chelmsford Crown Court.
He was released on bail and will be sentenced next month.
