Arsonists destroy mobile home

A MOBILE home at a holiday resort was destroyed by arsonists.

Firefighters reported there were gas cylinders involved at the fire at the Naze Marine Holiday Park in Hall Lane, Walton.

Two fire crews from Frinton were called to the blaze at 6.13am on Sunday and found the mobile home in flames.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus battled to bring the fire under control.

By 6.49am, the officer in charge reported steady progress in bringing the incident to a close. Crews damped down the wreckage to ensure any hotspots had been extinguished.

No one was injured.

Police and the fire service are carrying out a joint investigation into the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.
