A DRUG dealer who was caged for 16 years over a plot to flood the capital's streets with ecstasy has failed in a challenge to his conviction at the Court of Appeal.
George Arthur Stokes, 63, of Skelmersdale Road, Clacton, was jailed last January after a jury found him guilty of conspiring with others to supply the drugs.
Southwark Crown Court had heard he was at the apex of a pyramid of conspirators dealing in vast quantities of ecstasy.
Stokes' lawyers launched a bid to overturn his conviction at the Court of Appeal on Friday, but Mr Justice Walker threw out all of the arguments.
