Clacton: Man accused of rape appears in court

A 35-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with the abduction and rape of a 17-year-old girl in Clacton.

Daniel Bramman, of no fixed address, appeared before Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday in relation to the rape of a girl on March 1.

Brammam has been charged with one count of kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence, rape, false imprisonment, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He has been remanded in police custody to appear before magistrates in Chelmsford tomorrow.

Bramman has been remanded in court custody until he will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on June 1.

A woman who was also arrested in relation to the incident has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
