A YOUTH has been charged with robbery in connection with an incident on a Colchester to Walton train.

The British Transport Police appealed for witnesses to the incident on the train on June 18, 2008 A woman had her handbag allegedly snatched from her shoulder, jerking her violently, by one of three youths.

After an appeal for witnesses in the *Gazette* and months of painstaking investigations, a 21-year-old youth has been charged with robbery.

He has been released on police bail prior to his appearance before Colchester magistrates next month.
