A MUM has lost all hope after being left without heat or hot water for two weeks.

Kerri Oleforo, from Ardleigh, woke up one morning to find there was no heating.

She took all the necessary measures, calling Colne Housing and Aaron Services who specialise in heating, and an inspection was carried out.

However Kerri, of Ingrams Piece, says no-one is taking responsibility to get the heating fixed.

She said: "I'm constantly waiting for something to happen and I keep getting my hopes up.

"On Friday I just lost it and broke down, these people don't know what they are doing."

She is living with her husband, Bright, and two children - Curtis, 10, and eight-week-old Travis.

She said: "I have called Citizens Advice who said they can't leave us in there with a newborn baby."

In order to get hot water for bathing and washing up she is having to boil it on the hob.

She also has two electric heaters for the house, but says they do not make much difference.

Baby Travis is having to wear his coat while he is sleeping in order to stay warm.

She said: "I can't leave the heaters on for long as they start to smell like they are going to catch fire.

"I just feel disgusted really, and upset at how they think it's OK to leave someone with no basic amenities.

"We've all become ill due to this. All this has disturbed Curtis as he has ADHD and has to have a routine.

"You can imagine showering from a bucket has not been the norm for him, he also suffers from asthma which has flared up again because of the type of heaters we have."

She said Aaron Services has been trying to order in a new part to fix the heating, but there has been no action for more than two weeks.

Colne Housing employs Aaron Services to carry out the work.

Colne Housing has been contacted for comment.
