A JEALOUS ex-girlfriend turned nightmare neighbour has admitted a campaign of harassment which included hurling a bucket of urine over her victim and smearing her car with dog mess.

Karen Green, 58, had been in a relationship with a women who now lives next door to her more than 20 years ago.

The pair had initially stayed good friends until her former girlfriend’s new partner moved in.

Green’s behaviour began to turn during a Christmas party on December 27 last year when she accused the couple of trying to make her jealous and kneeled by the side of their car with a knife threatening to slash their tyres.

During a hearing at Colchester Magistrates’ Court, Philip Pearson prosecuting said: “In January, upon leaving the property the new partner felt something hit her on the arm.

“She realised Green had thrown two oranges at her, then she hit her on the head with her knuckles causing her to fall to the floor.

“In April the police were called after Green blocked her car in by parking outside the property.

“She was told by police to move the vehicle which she did.

“Later that day she then found excrement had been thrown onto her her.

“She had it cleaned and returned later and then mud was thrown on the newly cleaned car.

“She then recalls urine being thrown at her.”

Green also subjected the pair to a string of verbal attacks, installed an anti-glare light inches away from their CCTV camera and left a threatening note in her car while it was parked outside their house for three days.

Both victims have reported suffering from stress as a result of the incidents.

Green, of Stanley Road, Clacton, admitted possession of a knife and harassment during her court appearance.

Sentencing has been adjourned for a full Probation Service report to be prepared.

Peter Young, mitigating for Green, said she had been provoked by the victims at times during the eight-month long harassment campaign.

She was bailed on the condition she does not conduct either of the victims in the case.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for later this month back at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
