HOLLAND Residents’ Association is installing benches in memory of past members.
One bench has been put outside the Co-Operative store in Holland-on-Sea and a second will go outside the Flamingo Restaurant on Kings Parade.
Plaques have been put on the benches in memory of members including former councillor Mary Bragg, former Tendring Councillor, Vera Doughty who was association treasurer for 29 years, and Trevor Bright who was the last person to shut Frinton’s famous gates in 2012.
Verity Coulthard said: “We wanted to have a memorial to honour people and their many years of service and we wanted to dedicate it to them. These people have served their community.”
