FRINTON has scooped gold after winning Anglia in Bloom's small town award in this year's competition.

The victory - and a prestigious gold medal - is just the latest in a string of wins over recent years.

Last year the town won a clutch of awards but had to settle for only one this summer.

Judges visited Frinton in July and were taken on a five-mile tour of the town's horticultural highlights including Connaught Avenue, the Triangle shopping centre, Railway Cottage Gardens and Walton Road allotments.
