A WOMAN attacked her ex-boyfriend with nail scissors after he refused to get back together, a court has heard.

Zena Jacombs entered no plea for an alleged common assault against her former partner as well as three alleged assaults on police officers on June 12 during a short hearing at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.

Barry Hargreaves, prosecuting, told the court the pair had broken up but Jacombs had hoped they would get back together.

But Mr Hargreaves said he was not interested in reconciling.

The bench heard 41-year-old Jacombs, of Clayton Road, Ramsey, then lunged at victim Mr Potter holding “small scissors, gesturing towards his neck”.

Police were then called to the scene, where the three alleged assaults are also alleged to have taken place.

Magistrates refused jurisdiction on the charges and Jacombs is due appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on August 15.

Separately, she admitted one count of cannabis possession, for which she was fined £110.
