THE devastated family of missing dad Nigel Kedar, who has not been home in two weeks, are pleading for him to return.

Mr Kedar, of Clacton, was last seen at 9.30am on Tuesday, April 4, walking southbound along the A140 corridor through Dickleburgh, Norfolk, towards Ipswich.

Fears are growing for the dad’s safety since his disappearance which the family describe as out of character.

Mr Kedar, 52, has a 13-year-old son and is one of four siblings including sister Diana Mays, 52, who cannot make sense of his disappearance.

She said: “It doesn’t make sense to any of us. Like any family we get together for big family days and although we might not live in each other’s pockets, when we see each other, it’s good.

“He’s a family man. His son is his life and very important to him. They would’ve played football and they do martial arts together each week. Nigel doesn’t miss activities with his son so this isn’t like him at all.”

Gazette:

Mr Kedar’s parents last saw him on Mother’s Day and the trio spoke regularly.

He worked as a self-employed builder and owns a business with a friend. Mrs Mays said her brother is a “workaholic” and for him to miss work is unusual.

She added she is unaware of him having been experiencing any mental health problems.

She said: “I’d like to think we would’ve known. He’s a fun-loving person who likes life and is a keen angler.

“We have to cope day-by-day but we’re just worried, and can’t understand why he’s not home.

“If he’s in trouble or feels he’s in trouble, and felt desperate because of it, things can be sorted out. His son he needs him - we all need him.”

Mr Kedar is described as being white, 5ft 11 tall, of a large build and has short hair. He was wearing dark coloured trousers with a lighter coloured long-sleeved shirt.

Detective Chief Inspector Marie James, of Norfolk Police, said: “Enquiries have revealed Nigel visited Norwich on Sunday, April 2 and made his way on foot through Long Stratton, Pulham Market, and through Dickleburgh.

"However, his movements aren’t known from this point onwards.”

“I would urge anyone who was travelling in the Dickleburgh, Scole or Diss areas to contact us.”

Anyone with information should contact Norfolk Constabulary immediately on 999.
