A SPECIALIST jobs fair for people interested in working in the care sector takes place in Clacton on Thursday, March 30.

Posts up for grabs include cleaners, caterers, carers, nurses, care planners, service managers and specialists such as social workers and therapists.

County Hall and Tendring Council are urging people to consider working in care to help fill the high number of job vacancies.

Tending Council leisure boss Lynda McWilliams said: “The campaign is particularly important for Tendring where there are many elderly and vulnerable residents.

“The jobs fair is a great opportunity to find employment – and not any job but one which makes a real difference to the lives of others.”

The fair is on Thursday, March 30, at the Princes Theatre from 10am to 2pm and will give job-seekers the chance to meet local employers and find out about current openings.

Visitors can apply and have an informal interview on the day, as well as learning about training, apprenticeships and one-to-one support.
