A TEENAGE cyclist who was airlifted to hospital after being trapped under a bus is now recovering at home.
Tyler Doe, 16, who studies carpentry and joinery at Colchester Institute’s Clacton campus, was flown to the Royal London Hospital with multiple injuries on January 24.
The incident happened on Skelmersdale Road in Clacton.
Emergency services had to use special airbags to release Tyler free from beneath the single-decker bus.
A Colchester Institute spokesman said: “Tyler is now at home continuing his recovery and hoping to be able to catch up with his classmates soon.
“Tyler’s tutor has been in regular contact for updates on his progress and his classmates are looking forward to welcoming him back to college.”
