DOZENS of Clacton motorists were found wanting during a police crackdown on road safety earlier this month.
Essex police found 56 drivers and passengers were not wearing a seatbelt, 13 were using a mobile phone, nine vehicles had no valid MOT, and four cars were seized for having no insurance.
In addition, a 39-year-old Colchester man was arrested for suspected drug driving during the police operation in the town on Thursday.
The road safety initiative, with related drug driving campaign, continues.
