Fire in Alresford spreads to home and three cars
THREE people were taken to hospital after a blaze destroyed three cars and damaged two homes.
Firefighters and paramedics raced to Heath Road shortly after 10pm last night.
Crews from Colchester and Wivenhoe tackled the blaze while paramedics treated three patients.
A man, aged in his 30s, is being treated at a specialist burns unit at Broomfield Hospital.
Two older women were treated for shock and taken to Colchester General Hospital.
The fire destroyed a shed, two vehicles inside and damaged the side of one home and a car, garage and the side of the neighbouring property.
The fire was out by 11.23pm and the incident scene was made safe.
