DURING their Fifties and Sixties Vegas heyday, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jnr and Frank Sinatra were the epitome of cool.

Dubbed the Rat Pack, they combined the sensational sound of big band swing with charisma, panache and swagger.

Often, when one of the members was scheduled to give a performance in Vegas, the rest would show up for an impromptu show, causing major excitement among audiences.

Now the trio's glory days are being resurrected in a new live extravaganza, with West End stars Harry Crawley, Rahul d’Mello and David Alacey reliving the lead roles of Dean, Sammy and Frank.

Harry has even played the famous Caesar’s Palace Ballroom in Las Vegas with a full big band.

They have all toured extensively as their alter egos, winning rave reviews in the West End and on the road.

The swingsational show features classics such as New York, New York, That’s Amore, My Way, Mr Bojangles, That’s Life, Ain’t That a Kick in the Head, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, Mambo Italiano, Volare and Little Old Wine Drinker Me, and has all the patter and razzamatazz of the Rat Pack’s infamous live stage performances.

Producer Michael Taylor said: “The trio were the definition of cool during the Fifties and Sixties and their Las Vegas showbar appearances were legendary.

“Backed by the full sound of big band, they had attitude to spare. The rebel rousing legend that is Frank, Dean and Sammy remains unmatched to this day.”

Rat Pack Live is at Clacton's West Cliff Theatre this Saturday at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £21 from the box office on 01255 433344.
