A GROUP that helps disabled young adults to work has been given the go-ahead for its new allotment project.
Clacton-based Sailship has been given planning permission to use two mobile at the allotments in Fairclough Avenue.
The units will provide shelter in bad weather and will be used for work skills training and life skills education.
Sailship said it offers young adults with learning disabilities vocational opportunities and learning, enabling them to become confident, valued members of the community.
Tendring Council, which approved the plans, said it felt the proposal would be of benefit to the local community by providing a valuable facility for disabled young adults and adults.
