BURGLARS made off with a haul of goods following a break in at a home in Clacton.

The crooks got into the house, in St Osyth Road, through an upstairs window.

Once inside they ransacked the house before leaving by the front door.

The stolen items included an LG DVD player, a pair of Oakley sunglasses and an external computer hard drive.

Investigating officer Det Con Claire March said: "The victims have been left particularly upset by the theft of the hard drive as it had nearly all of their family pictures on it and it was of great sentimental value to them.

“If anyone saw any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time this burglary took place or has any other information which could help then I would ask them to call me.”

The burglary took place between 2.45pm and 5.15pm on July 18.

Anyone with information should call Det Con March at Clacton CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
