Caravans set up by football ground and in country park as travellers move into Clacton
TRAVELLERS set up camp on a country park on the outskirts of Clacton just hours after leaving rubbish dumped on council sports pitches.
Tendring Council said seven vans and a number of commercial vehicles had moved on to Brook Country Park on Monday night after a security gate was forced open.
They are believed to be the same travellers who set up camp on football pitches behind FC Clacton’s Rush Green Bowl ground earlier that day.
