ANGRY residents have been left with a stuttering phone service for the past week after their signal suddenly dropped.
People in Thorpe using phone network EE have found it impossible to get a signal in the village for several days.
It has caused major problems for some residents.
Self-employed photographer Simon Rich said: “I’m self-employed. If I can’t get phone calls, then I can’t get work. People could be calling me about a job right now for all I know.
“It has been a nightmare.”
Struggling residents have contacted EE to complain about the problem.
They have not been given an official reason for the issues yet, but the company has offered to cancel the monthly charge for several people while it is ongoing.
Parish and district councillor Dan Land said: “Everyone seems to have been told something different by EE.
“We can’t get a straight answer from them.
“This needs to be sorted out as soon as possible. It’s not good enough that our residents are being left without a vital service.”
EE was not available to comment.
