POLICE are continuing their inquiries after a man in his 70s crashed into five parked cars and the front of a building.
The multi-vehicle crash happened in Brightlingsea High Street at about 2.30pm on May 12.
Police said the driver of a blue Nissan Almera had collided with a Vauxhall Vectra, BMW and Ford Escort before careering into the front door of the Brightlingsea Motel, causing structural damage.
The car then hit a stationary Citroen and a Peugeot.
The driver was cut free from his car by firefighters and taken to Colchester General Hospital with minor cuts to his right hand.
He was released from hospital shortly afterwards.
Anyone with information should call PC Andy Fitch, of Stanway traffic police, on 101.
