A PROJECT set up to help disadvantaged youngsters in Clacton has secured more than £450,000 in funding.
Inclusion Ventures was launched in 2002 in response to concerns about high youth crime rates on the rundown Percy King estate.
Drop-in sessions were set up in an effort to prevent problem youngsters’ lives spiralling out of control.
Specialist staff provide activities for vulnerable children and their families in a safe environment, based at Coppins Hall Community Centre.
The project has been awarded £450,420 by the Big Lottery Fund. It has been funded by the Lottery’s Reaching Communities scheme since 2010.
