CONTROVERSIAL plans for two bungalows outside Little Clacton’s settlement boundary have been given approval.
Concerns were raised over drainage problems in the area, but Tendring Council’s planning committee said they could be taken care of by conditions imposed on the scheme. The plans, for land in Holland Road on the edge of the village, were unanimously approved.
Little Clacton Parish Council objected to the application because it is outside the village development area on farmland.
It also feared new access points on the road would affect highway safety. Tendring Council also received a number of letters of objections from residents living close to the site.
But the highways authority raised no objections to the plans and said two extra homes would not have any significant impact.
