FUNDRAISING Scouts in Clacton have helped to raise more than £900 for a diabetes charity.
The 5th Clacton Scouts, based in Bockings Elm, presented a cheque to Ruth Weir, of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, at their annual meeting.
Tyler Sales, a member of the Scout troop and a diabetes sufferer, made the presentation.
Richard Woodfield, of the 5th Clacton Scouts, said: “The money had been raised from a cold and damp January sponsored walk by the group’s Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, leaders and parents.”
