A BRAVE youngster born with cerebral palsy will have his life transformed by a new wheelchair, thanks to an incredible community effort.
Riley Garner, four, of Frinton Road, Kirby Cross, was born with the condition and is unlikely to ever be able to walk.
Mum Aline Garner said:“We just get on with it. This is how it is and Riley wouldn’t be the person he is without the condition."
But Riley needs a wheelchair and his family discovered he is too small for any chairs available through the NHS.
They were told he would have to be pushed around in a buggy.
But a massive community effort, led by owners of SLC Gym in Walton, raised the cash for Riley's chair in time for him to start school in September.
Aline added: "This has changed our lives."
