A COUNCILLOR arrested on suspicion of defrauding Sport England has been rebailed.
District and county councillor Pierre Oxley, 40, and Clacton Cricket Club vice-chairman Gary Kirk, 53, were arrested last year.
They were questioned over the spending of a Sport England grant for Clacton Sports Club, in Vista Road.
Mr Kirk was released without charge shortly before he was due to answer police bail on February 18.
Mr Oxley, who answered bail on Thursday, has been rebailed to attend Clacton police station on July 15.
