TWO new community wardens are taking to the streets of Tendring.
Last year Tendring Council set aside £100,000 to pay for three police community support officers in a deal with Essex Police.
But the police were unable to recruit the extra officers due to restructuring. The council will now use the money to put a PCSO and two community wardens in place as soon as possible.
Tendring’s community wardens were first introduced in 2007 and have the power to issue fines for dog fouling and littering, and help tackle antisocial behaviour.
