DEVASTATED cat owners whose pets had to be put down have warned others to be wary of anti-freeze poisoning.
Two cats belonging to Gemma Thorn, of Swandale, Great Clacton, were rushed to the vets last week – both suffering from a mystery illness.
They deteriorated quickly and the vet advised they would have to be put to sleep due.
It was put down to anti-freeze poisoning which is deadly to cats - but is not clear whether it was a deliberate act or an accident.
