GREEN residents across the district have been praised for their tree-mendous recycling effort.
Tendring Council officers were at six different venues last week to recycle Christmas trees.
They shredded 85 trees, and a further 90 were collected by the council’s garden waste collection service.
Nick Turner, Tendring Council’s cabinet member for environment, praised residents for taking up the initiative.
The chippings will now be used in council- maintained gardens throughout the district.
