A WALTON academy class raised cash for an impressive food haul donation.
Year Two pupils at Hamford Primary Academy designed and baked their own biscuit bears as part of a pre-Christmas project.
They decided to sell the finished products at the school to raise funds for the Walton foodbank, collecting a total of more than £110.
Members of the Hamford Academy Friends group went shopping with the cash, piling a trolley high with food to take to the foodbank for needy residents.
Emma Hardman, from the Hamford Academy Friends, said: “The children were all very happy to be helping so many families in the area and we are really proud of their efforts.”
