VILLAGERS battling against an “outrageously unsuitable” housing development at St Osyth Priory have claimed it would “tip the village into chaos”.
A special evening session of a planning inquiry was held for residents to present their concerns over major housing development plans to planning inspector Ken Barton.
More than 200 people attended the meeting at Clacton’s Princes Theatre.
Residents repeatedly spoke of the pressure such a large development would put on “already overstretched” schools and doctors’ surgeries.
The inspector heard it would cause an “unprecedented amount of chaos”.
