Woman suffers serious injuries following hit and run collision
A WOMAN suffered serious injuries following a hit and run collision in Kirby Cross.
Emergency services were called to Frinton Road at around 5.20pm on Friday following reports that a woman pedestrian had been injured.
The woman, thought to be in aged in her 50s or 60s, was taken to Colchester General Hospital.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "It is believed she was in collision with a vehicle that failed to stop at the scene.
"Enquiries are continuing and the road was closed whilst forensic examinations took place."
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to call Essex Police on 101.
