Warning after thousands of bikes are snatched from train stations
COMMUTERS are being urged to lock up their bikes after 4,490 were stolen from stations in the region.
British Transport Police officers have been handing out leaflets and offering advice to try and reduce the problem.
Among the advice is don’t spend £1,000 on a bike a then secure it with a flimsy £5 lock.
