FRINTON's famous summer theatre hits the airwaves on Radio 4 next week.
One Foot in the Grave star Richard Wilson helped the rep theatre celebrate its 75th anniversary this year by starring in The Dog.
He spent a fortnight in the resort learning his lines and performing Jon Canter's new play, which made its premiere at the McGrigor Hall.
His experience is retold in Frinton Forever which is being broadcast by the BBC on Monday at 4pm.
Listeners can follow the actor’s progress from the first day of rehearsals through to the last night of the show.
It covers everything from rehearsing in the local Scout hut to the Friends of Frinton Summer Theatre garden party, and the ever popular performance raffle.
Frinton Forever is followed by the radio version of The Dog in the Afternoon Drama slot on December 9 at 2.15pm on Radio 4.
