ELECTRICITY bosses have apologised to customers following a power cut in Thorpe.

The Rolph School has been closed for the day following a power cut on Monday morning.

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said engineers are working to restore power to the High Street following a fault on the electricity network system.

He said: “Around 34 customers would have seen an interruption to power at around 7.15am this morning following the fault.

“We would like to reassure our customers that we are working as quickly and as safely as possible to return supplies to them as soon as we can and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
