Police have called off the search for a man who was reportedly bundled into a van by a gang.
Police were alerted at just before 8pm last night after an eyewitness saw a man trying to get out of a white camper van type vehicle via the side sliding door.
However, he was stopped from doing so and the vehicle drove off again in Salisbury Road, Holland-on-Sea.
Reports suggest a group of five or six men were involved and police issued an appeal as they were not sure if the incident was suspicious.
However, at around lunchtime today a man in his 20s attended Clacton police station to advise officers he was safe and well and that there had been no sinister circumstances surrounding the incident.
