AN open day is being held to “dispel the myths” surrounding cremation.
Weeley Crematorium is staging the event on Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
Crematorium manager Clare Thompson said: “Many want the reassurance that cremations take place individually and that they receive their own loved one’s remains back after cremation.
“Another regular question is about what happens to the coffin.
“Some think it is returned to the funeral director for reuse, but that is not the case.”
