A NEW £5,000 overspill car park at Clacton’s football ground should cut down on traffic chaos on match days.
Tendring Council has transformed a grassy area outside FC Clacton’s Rush Green Bowl home ground into a new parking site in time for the new season.
Nick Turner, council environment boss said: “This new properly surfaced car park will help to relieve congestion in Rush Green Road on match days by removing cars from the roadside which could not find space in the existing car park.
“It will greatly benefit to football club, its supporters and opposition, those using the surrounding public open space, motorists using Rush Green Road as well as the nearby local community.”
