A TEENAGE fundraiser has organised an event to boost the fight against cancer.
Jo Harris, 17, took part in the Relay for Life last year in aid of Cancer Research, raising more than £200.
She is set to take part again this year and has already started raising money for the cause.
Clacton County High Sixth Form student Jo has set up a darts and pool tournament with a raffle at Comrades Sports and Social Club in Colne Road, Clacton to rake in more cash towards the final total.
The event will feature pool and darts tournaments which will cost £2 to enter.
Raffle tickets will cost £1 on the night and a host of prizes have been donated by local businesses.
Jo’s boyfriend has also volunteered to have his legs waxed. Anyone making a donation will be given a wax strip to use.
It will take place from 7pm on May 17 at the Comrades Club base. All club members and their guests are welcome to attend.
