AN X-FACTOR boyband has backed the Gazette's anti-knife campaign.

District 3, in the final nine of the popular television show, has supported the campaign, which was launched after a number of knife related murders and attacks in Tendring.

Greg, from the band, went to school in Harwich and Manningtree and was also part of the former Tiffany’s Stage School in Clacton, now known as The Company.

Speaking to the Gazette he said he was happy to back the campaign as the band is anti-crime.

“What has happened in Clacton is terrible really,” he said

Greg and his bandmates are also wearing the Clacton Gazette’s Lives not Knives wristbands - Greg even wore his during the halloween show special.
