Over 400 people went to an interactive open day at a veterinary practice in Braintree.

Children and parents had the chance to find out how to properly hold their pets and go on a tour of Millennium Vets in Millennium Way to see the work the practice does.

People were also invited to bring along their pet guinea pigs to take part in a show.

Veterinary nurse Dot Creighton, who organised the day, said: “We had a lovely day and everyone got to get a look around the practice.

“They saw every room in the surgery and saw how we look after our patients.”

A total of £425.95 was raised for the Retired Greyhound Trust.
