Police are appealing for information following a fatal road crash in Braintree.
A woman pedestrian was in collision with a red Renault Clio at the bottom of the on-slip to the eastbound carriageway of the A120 near to its junction with London Road shortly after 7.30pm yesterday.
The 38-year-old Braintree woman was taken to Broomfield Hospital but sadly later died.
A 21-year-old Braintree man, who had been driving the the car, was uninjured.
A section of the road was closed for three hours while forensic collision investigators carried out enquiries into the cause of the crash.
