Police were called after the body of a 76-year-old man was found.
Officers were called to Masefield Road, Braintree, shortly before 6.30pm on Friday after the pensioner's body was discovered.
A post mortem examination gave the provisional cause of his death as hanging.
The case has been referred to the coroner and the man's death is not believed to be suspicious.

Maybe they meant like "hanging around" as in the sitcom "Waiting for god"? If so, however, I think a little more care ought to have been spent writing this piece of tut.
My condolences to the family for this sad death and the crass way in which it was "reported" by this excuse for a news site.
