Witham: Park set for an upgrade Witham: Park set for an upgrade

Witham's park land is set for improvement after £25,000 of public spending was approved last month.

Town councillors agreed to using earmarked reserves of public money on seats, bins and new plants.

Witham Town Council will spend £5,000 on planting along the Park View boundary and £20,000 on new seats and bins in the area.

C'mon Yellow Peril, get a map out..
Park View is the Residential Home for the elderly down Kings Chase..

where's Kings Chase I hear you ask?

its the small road, opposite the Weatherspoons in Newland Street, that leads to the Park (hence Park View..:-)...)

£25,000 seems a little bit steep to spend on a few plants, bins and seats that will propably only be used by the few that know where they are! LOL

Thanks Skorch. Didn't have a clue where the park was but as soon as you mention Wetherspoons I know where I am!

Yellow Peril, you need to get a dog and have a walk around town if you want to know where these places are :-O

Have done that once or twice Skorch but most of the pubs in town don't let dogs in so we only get as far as the Woolpack!
