Man charged after security guards were robbed at gunpoint in 2016
A man has been charged almost two years after security guards were robbed in Witham.
Stevie Atkins, 36, of Calle Carajima, Malaga was arrested in Spain on Tuesday, May 8 and extradited to the UK.
He has been charged with robbery and having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, after the incident outside Asda in Highfields Road on December 14, 2016.
The victims were robbed at gunpoint by three men who stole £235,000.
He is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on July 12.
